Last week I posted Hunter’s first communion photos! His mom Barbara-Ann had recently gotten engaged, so after we took photos at the church, we headed over to a park to do some engagement photos for her & her fiancé Scott. I love how they used this photo session for both purposes! They also ordered photo art that reflected both celebrations, so don’t miss photos of those at the bottom of each post!Read More
“I had the pleasure of meeting Kristen & Darrin at a Durham Bulls baseball game as part of a local JMU Alumni meetup night. (Go Dukes!) My husband and I enjoyed chatting with them that evening, and I mentioned that I’m a photographer during part of our conversation. Months passed, and Darrin eventually knew he wanted to propose to Kristen sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2018. The Chinese Lantern Festival felt like the perfect place for them to celebrate such a momentous occasion. As soon as he told someone he was going to propose, they said he needed a photographer, and he went and called me right away!! (Gentlemen, take note. Photos of your proposal are basically expected at this point!)”Read More
“High school seniors, college students, brides & grooms - and yes, even babies… Even if they have nothing else in common, my clients tend to get a little silly, and I love it. It’s usually not prompted and happens just because we’re having fun. We had SO much fun in 2014 that all the photos featured in this second installation of my Joyful & Silly series are from that year alone! Enjoy!”Read More
This is a job that allows me to connect with lots of different people, from all walks of life, who may otherwise have nothing in common except that I am their photographer - and I LOVE it. There is, however, one other thing I’ve noticed about the people who step in front of my camera…
THEY GET SILLY.
WE GET SILLY.
WE DON’T TAKE OURSELVES TOO SERIOUSLY.
