“Kelly did a phenomenal job with my graduation photos from NC State, and was so much fun to work with! She is very sweet, creative, and the pictures turned out amazing! She was willing and flexible to do some shots that I wanted and also had an eye for seeing some other potential great photos, and I loved how they all turned out. She was also really helpful with designing and ordering my graduation announcements and prints, and everything was really great quality!” - Kori Godwin
Hello, dear friends!
I am officially on vacation and writing from Denver! Err.. just kidding ;) I wrote this a few days ago and scheduled it, because today I am in Denver white water rafting with my husband and our friend Shae! We've been saving up for our Denver, Portland, Seattle vacation for quite a while, and it's happening! See some pictures from my trip this week on Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter. :)
While we're off having fun (one perk of being a small business owner - flexible schedules!), I wanted to be sure to continue our Throwback Thursday blog series!
Today I'd like to introduce you to -
Kori graduated from North Carolina State University in the spring of 2017. Although my grandfather graduated from State back in the day, our senior session was the first time I'd really walked around campus! I loved having Kori show me around as I captured that special time for her. Graduating from college is such a big accomplishment, and I love providing photos for people to treasure these memories for years and years to come!
Can we talk about how crazy impressive it is that she climbed on top of the wolf statue in a DRESS?!
Kori has lots of photos of her friends and family hanging up in her apartment, so she naturally decided to order photo prints in various sizes both for her room and to share with others!
She also ordered flat cards as graduation announcements with real foil pressed into the front. This way, lots of people could celebrate with her near & far! She chose the template with color options that reflect NC State, and we worked together to decide which photos could be on the announcement and which placement of each would be best. They look so classy!
Kori & her boyfriend Capen volunteer at A Place at the Table (where they met!), so I love seeing them on occasion when I'm there to take photos or to enjoy one of their (delicious) gluten-free muffin tops. One day while I was there with my camera, they asked me to pop outside with them for a photo :) The sun was shining in full-force, but it was great to capture that moment for them in a place that's really special and important to them.
Thank you so much Kori! I had so much fun spending time together and look forward to seeing you at APATT again soon!
Are you a rising high school or college senior, thinking about how to preserve this monumental time? Maybe you know a rising senior and want to honor them well? Get in touch with me so we can start a conversation about a senior session! It's never to early to start planning it!
Alright - back to the Denver river rapids for me! ;) See y'all on Monday for our next photo art feature - another one of my favorites!
In light & love,
