Photo Art: Photo Prints

**Please note: My artwork offerings have been revamped! I’m excited to share the updated versions & details with you during your consultation and ordering session.

Thank you for sticking with us and giving yourselves, your children, and your grandchildren beautiful photos to remember these moments!

Hello, and happy July!

I hope you’re gearing up for a break mid-week thanks to the holiday, and staying cool in this summer heat regardless! We had a belated graduation party for my husband Andrew & our roommate Maggie over the weekend. It was hot, but that didn’t stop us or our neighbors from bouncing in the bouncy castle we rented! 😉 It was a great time of fun and community with friends from our neighborhood and friends from church.

Check out some more photos from that day on Instagram or Facebook

I’m popping on the blog today to do our first photo art feature! Last week I told you all about why investing in photo art is important to me (complete with audio if that’s more your style!), and each Monday this summer I’ll be doing a quick blog post to feature one of the pieces I offer.

First up…

Gift Prints!

Depending on what type of session you have with me, I may refer to these prints as “gift prints” or “small prints.” Either way, they’re great to put in your own frames or gift to friends and family!

Gift prints are currently available in sets of 5, 10, 15, 20, or more, and they’re the most basic way to hold your memories in your hands and display them in your home. They are professionally printed on sturdy paper and are protected with a lustre coating. They won’t curl easily and can last 100-200 years!

*Please note that some of the following ordering information has changed since the writing of this blog post!
Before and after your session, you view an Investment Guide to see what photo art is available to you. I ask that you choose “a piece for your home” and “a piece to share,” and the guide has two sides indicated as such. I love the way this is set up because it promotes connection with your loved ones by sharing the photos, and it also ensures you have photo art to keep for yourself! Of course, if you’d rather keep the photo art you order on the “to share” side, you can do that too. 😉

Gift prints are typically listed on the “to share” side, but for certain sessions I list them as “small prints” on the “for your home” side. It’s up to you what you actually do with them!

Fun fact about our New Life Collection – a series of maternity, newborn, 6 month, and 1 year sessions in a baby’s first year of life… Each session already includes a set of 10 prints, so you receive photos to display in your home and share with loved ones all throughout the year!

Whether it’s part of an individual session or the New Life Collection, you choose what photos you’d like to order and in what size for each. Gift prints are available in 4×6″, 5×7″, and 8×10″ with no difference in cost, and you can choose different sizes for different photos within the set you order. This way, you can choose the size that is truly right for your needs and the needs of your loved ones instead of making decisions based on price. 4×6″ prints are smaller than you may think, but they’re great for the pre-made photo collages that have more than one frame included or for a frame on a small bookshelf or bedside table. 8×10″ prints are perfect for gallery walls of multiple photos and other places you may want to feature a larger photo. Many people find 5×7″ to be a good sweet spot for photos that don’t take up too much space but are easily visible.

Since we choose the photos together and I order the prints for you, you don’t even have to worry about going through your pictures at some point in your busy schedule or leaving your house to get them printed. You’ll have them within a couple weeks of your ordering session, then you’re free to treasure them in your home and share them with others.

If you’re interested in larger prints, I’ll be sharing about our gallery images (similar to canvases but smoother!) and framed prints in a couple weeks! Of course, if you contact me about a session or wedding, I’ll tell you about them much sooner!

Also remember, for any photo you order in photo art, you also get a web-sized digital file of that photo! This makes it easy to share with friends and family far and wide on social media while also treasuring your photos in your home.

Happy July, and enjoy some down-time with your loved ones this week!
